My favourite scarfs and shawls this Autumn -Wrap up in style!

This morning, going through a box of winter woolies, I was rekindled with one of my favourite scarfs, this one by Norwegian designer Kristine Vikse, a designer I admire and respect. And when I met her in person, she was so down to earth and lovely as well. So I wear this this Fragments of Norway scarf with pride and fondness. For those of you who doesn’t know me, I’m a scarf person. I love silk, silk/wool blends or pure wool. Soft fabrics in lush colours, tied around the neck with a sweet bow, accessorising your outfit or draped around your shoulders to stay comfortable and stylish this Autumn.

I had a coffee with one of my best friends this morning, a higly talented stylist passionate about jewellery. “You need to learn how to use jewellery, and combine it with your personal style to make it work” she told me. Looking rather glamorous herself, in a pared down all grey ensemble she had simply added a statement bracelet that really did the outfit. “It’s all in the detail, you see!?” she exclaimed. I nodded but rather unsure about it. I tend to go down the safe route with my pearl or diamond stud earrings. But do they really compliment my outfit?

The Pippa Bag designed by Norwegian Marion Muhonen Nilsen

Modalu was founded in 2004 by Norwegian born Marion Muhonen Nilsen, a skilled designer with a passion for luxurious yet wearable leather handbags with a strong identity. Ms Muhonen Nilsen is originally from Ski, just North of the Norwegian capital Oslo, but currently resides in the UK. She’s an awarded designer, both in Norway and internationally.

The Modula brand really became Hot on the High Street when Pippa Middelton picked it up in Spring 2011. In fact the day after the Royal Wedding, Pippa Middleton made her debut carrying Modalu’s Bristol bag in shark gray, and the bag was swiftly renamed the Pippa bag.
