This morning, going through a box of winter woolies, I was rekindled with one of my favourite scarfs, this one by Norwegian designer Kristine Vikse, a designer I admire and respect. And when I met her in person, she was so down to earth and lovely as well. So I wear this this Fragments of Norway scarf with pride and fondness. For those of you who doesn’t know me, I’m a scarf person. I love silk, silk/wool blends or pure wool. Soft fabrics in lush colours, tied around the neck with a sweet bow, accessorising your outfit or draped around your shoulders to stay comfortable and stylish this Autumn.
There are children’s fashion clothes you discover where you can’t help thinking “My size, please!?” Pale Cloud is infact such a brand and the clothes are also being recognized as excellent design among industry experts. The Junior Magazine announced today that Pale Cloud won the prestigoues Junior Design Award 2012 for their Spring Summer 2012 collection.
The coming collection for Autumn Winter 2012/13 from the Swedish based designhouse is a strong follow up, with a trendy colonial feel; beautifully tailored coats and blazer, slim low crutch pants, highly detailed dresses and tops with both chunky and delicate knits using only the finest of wools. Heavy embellishment on delicate sand washed silk, pleating detail and leather trim are combined with peacock feather prints and fur for a luxurious look of statement dressing. Complete the outfit with essential accessories in hand knitted cashmere knit and semi-precious jewellery perfect for sophisticated little girls.
