My favourite scarfs and shawls this Autumn -Wrap up in style!

This morning, going through a box of winter woolies, I was rekindled with one of my favourite scarfs, this one by Norwegian designer Kristine Vikse, a designer I admire and respect. And when I met her in person, she was so down to earth and lovely as well. So I wear this this Fragments of Norway scarf with pride and fondness. For those of you who doesn’t know me, I’m a scarf person. I love silk, silk/wool blends or pure wool. Soft fabrics in lush colours, tied around the neck with a sweet bow, accessorising your outfit or draped around your shoulders to stay comfortable and stylish this Autumn.

Fragments of Norway, with each print representing scenes from the Norwegian nature, by Krstine Vikse. NOK 1200, find your nearest retailer at kristinevikse.no

Kameleon large cashmere scarf, designed in Norway, handmade in Kathmandu, fair trade. I have the beige but the light grey is gorgeous too. I wrap it around my shoulders, as a wrap style poncho on Autumn days, over the LBD for a understated stylish look when heading out for cocktails with friends -or as comfortable second layer when lounging on a lazy Sunday. I’ve had so many comments for it. Who would have thought a neutral knitted scarf could be such a head turner. Think it must be because of its oversized luxurious softness! NOK 1599 at handlegaten.no

We love the Yasu silk scarf by Pale Cloud, both the beautiful circus horse from the glorious days of the 1930’s as well as the fresh colour. Yes, this is in fact a children’s scarf, illustrated and designed by the Norwegian Creative Director of Pale Cloud, Marion Reynolds. Thing is, this is a scarf you can buy for your daughter, then borrow when’s needed. Too cheeky? Well, then buy it for yourself! NOK415 from armerogben.no or find your nearest retailer at pale-cloud.com
