At the very top of Oslo towers the new Holmenkollen Ski Jump, the world’s most modern ski jump. It is an imposing architectural monument of steel and concrete, and one of the first designer ski jumps ever to be built. Built in 1892, the ski jump has since been rebuilt 19 times in total. The last rebuild took place between 2008 and 2010, when the entire structure was demolished and rebuilt. Holmenkollen is today one of the worlds most modern ski jumps.
