The most beautiful magical White Christmas decoration -cut in paper

4KarenBitVejleJUL Foto-Styling- Anniken Zahl Furunes
On our way through all the tempting offers at the Norwegian Christmas Market in the Norwegian Seaman’s Church in London today we stumbled upon a gorgeous paper art collection by Danish Norwegian designer Karen Bit Vejle. Although more known for her large scale clip art installations, the smaller Christmas decorations easily caught our attention too. Find out more about the design at papercutart.no

In the collection on display were hearts, stars, snowflakes and small fairytales for the Christmas tree. They would probably also look lovely on branches in a vase or hanging in the window. But the larger ones, especially a star was just beautiful and would any window stand out with a lovely Christmas feel. The attention to detail is just impressive, as the artist herself hand cuts each piece in the collection. This Scandinavian White Christmas decoration is a reason on its own to visit the Norwegian Christmas Market. Last day tomorrow -don’t miss it.

Scandinavian Chic Knit Cushion for Winter

knit_cushion
So, I’ve joined a knitting club, even though I can’t knit. Yes, “can’t knit” as in not at all. However I have some really optimistic friends that seems to think that “everyone can knit”. So there you go, I’m now officially a member of a knitting club. Then onto my first planned project… cushion. I’d love to knit a cushion cover! Always wanted a soft and snug cushion in our living room. Cable knit is probably to reach to high, but a plain one should be doable?
First meeting will take place this Wednesday, and I’ll keep you posted on my progress. Meanwhile, if you have any advise (or encouragement) -do share!

Psst… The oversized cable knitted cushion seen in picture above retails for £45 -just in case my project fails completely.

Autumn NW3 London

Muddy tracks and deep forests are also part of the London scene. And Hampstead High Street is surrounded by it. But there’s no reason cramp your style, when getting some fresh air out and about in Hampstead Heath.

It’s by for now from the Rützoe team. The Danish fashion brand is having to close down after 13 years since it was first launched. Rützoe has within that time become popular for it’s feminine and incredible stylish women’s collections. The original idea was to move away from fast fashion circus and rather create fashion staples that would be elegant and timeless. But with the recent years of a struggeling finical climate, it’s proven to be a challenging route to go, as quality comes at a price.
